Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, just for its magnificent beauty. It is one of the fine example which is based on truer love. This monument depict the real love of husband towards his beloved wife which was always remained in his memory and never fade away. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. At the age of 14, he met Mumtaz and after 5 years they got married in 1612. And she got died in 1631 while giving birth to 14th child. That’s why in her memory he built this magnificent structure. Now it is known as Taj Mahal. The construction of this building was started in 1632 and it took about 22 years and finished in 1653. It was built by around 22,000 laborers and about 1000 elephants help in the services.

This beautiful monument was built by the white marble, which was brought across every part of India. And mausoleum was adorned with the semi precious tome like turquoise, crystals, jade, lapis, amethyst).

And about 32 million rupees expend on the construction of this monument.

The central dome of the mausoleum is about the height of 23 meters which is enclosed with the 4 small domes, 4 slender towers and minarets. The calligraphy of the Quran are arched on the entrance.

The remaining complex of the Taj Mahal was built by the gateway of red sandstone. The square garden is apart in the quarters by the pools of water.

Even after the construction of Taj Mahal, Shah Jahan try to built second identical monument across the river Yamuna.

When he died in 1666, his third son Aurangzeb built mausoleum of the Shah Jahan which was also lie along with his wife.

Tourists consider that it looks pink in the morning and white in afternoon and Golden appearance during night when the full moon appears.
