3. Liquids, Gels, and Aerosols

Etihad follows the standard international liquids rule for cabin baggage:

• Each liquid, gel, or aerosol container must be 100ml or under
• All containers must fit inside one transparent resealable bag of 1 litre capacity
• Each passenger is permitted one such bag

This applies to perfume, cologne, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, gel deodorant and similar items. Liquids over 100ml must go in checked baggage.

Duty free liquids are exempt if purchased after the security checkpoint and carried in a security tamper-evident bag. Passengers transiting through Abu Dhabi on Etihad flights to India should retain their duty-free receipts as proof of purchase.

4. Medicines and Medical Equipment

Prescription and over the counter medicines are permitted in both cabin and checked baggage on all Etihad routes.

For cabin baggage, you need to:

• Carry medicines in their original packaging where possible
• Keep a copy of your prescription or a doctor’s letter for controlled or injectable medications
• Insulin, syringes, and other medical devices are permitted with appropriate documentation

6. Electronics and Lithium Batteries
