CDC Issues Level One Notice to Announce India’s Safety For US Citizens

According to the recent travel developments, after the much-dreaded pandemic COVID19 is subsiding eventually, the United States of America’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a notice for all its citizens traveling to India.

The “Level One” notice means that India poses a low risk for fully vaccinated people who are traveling to the country for any purpose. The completely vaccinated travelers boarding US to India flights and coming into the country are at minimal risk of contracting the virus and developing severe symptoms.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has separated the countries into 4 different zones as follows:

Level 4- Very High

Level 3- High

Level 2- Moderate

Level 1- Low

“Your risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) authorized vaccine,” CDC mentioned in the notice issued to its citizens.

This update came as soon as India resumed entry for travelers from 99 countries quarantine-free. Another thing to note is that these 99 countries have also agreed mutually to recognize the New Delhi issued COVID19 vaccination certificates of travelers- both Indian and otherwise.

Visitors coming to India from America, France, Germany, England, Australia, Russia, and the Netherlands have been listed under “Category A”.

“As India opened its doors to fully-vaccinated international tourists from all over the world beginning Monday, India tourism Mumbai accorded a warm welcome to the first set of international tourists who landed at Mumbai International Airport by Air France flight AF218,” the Union Ministry of Tourism tweeted on Twitter recently.

Now, all that the travelers need to do is submit a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha Portal, which is newdelhiairport.in, and have their negative RT- PCR test uploaded which is not more than 72 hours prior to making the journey on the US to India last minute flights or regular flights.
